Zest and heat
Bergamot and ginger open it with a cool zest and a little peppery heat. The citrus keeps the start clean, and the ginger gives it a first edge. The phase is quick: after only a few minutes the woods are already taking over.

The heart is all wood. Cedarwood brings a dry, clear line, while Akigalawood™ adds a broader, more modern woody shape. No flowers soften it; the effect is austere and a little mineral, in keeping with the black stones the brand evokes.

Haitian vetiver grounds the base, with musks and tonka bean around it. The brand describes the musks blending with Akigalawood™ into a lingering, deeply intoxicating trail. Tonka bean adds a rounded softness to the earthy vetiver.

Both, in sequence. It starts with bergamot and ginger, fresh and a little spiced, then turns to dry woods, vetiver and soft tonka. There are no florals in the pyramid.
Is it a daytime or an evening scent?
Either. The dry woods and vetiver work in daylight, and the musks and tonka give it enough depth for an evening. In an office, two sprays are plenty.
Which size is this?
The 100 ml Eau de Parfum. The house also makes an Extrait de Parfum of The Hedonist, which is a separate perfume.
Does it make a good gift?

Very good quality profume, it last long and it has a good price for its incredible aroma and mixes of fruit and wood smell
A cozy, slightly sensual vanilla that feels like warm night air by the sea. Easy to love if you enjoy gourmand perfumes with a soft smoky edge.
This perfume is really well blended, I just removed a star because I personnaly don't like the top note (citronella)
