Rosso Pompei takes its name from the Pompeian red of the frescoes in the Villa of the Mysteries, which Paolo and Tiziana discovered on a childhood visit to Pompeii. It opens fruity with Sicilian and pink grapefruit, Sorrento lemon and Amalfi grape, moves to ambergris, tuberose, magnolia and jasmine, and rests on sandalwood, red patchouli, cedar of Lebanon and Neapolitan maple.

Citrus first
Sicilian and pink grapefruit lead, with Sorrento lemon adding a sharper, zesty edge and Amalfi grape a juicy, slightly wine-like sweetness. Two kinds of grapefruit make the top both bitter-bright and rosy, so it feels fresh and fruity without being sugary.

Tuberose and ambergris
The heart is floral and fuller. Tuberose, magnolia, lily of the valley and royal jasmine make a full white bouquet together, while ambergris adds a warm, skin-like glow. This is the stretch where the perfume moves from the fruit of the opening to the woods below.

Wood underneath
Sandalwood gives the base a smooth, creamy wood, red patchouli an earthy, slightly sweet depth, and cedar of Lebanon a dry, clean timber note. Neapolitan maple adds a faint, syrupy warmth, and the whole base is rooted in wood rather than in sugar.

Rosso Pompei opens bright and ends woody, so it is easy to wear from spring through autumn. As an extrait it is concentrated: two or three sprays on the chest and wrists are enough. It works by day in mild weather and keeps its shape into the evening.

Very good quality profume, it last long and it has a good price for its incredible aroma and mixes of fruit and wood smell
A cozy, slightly sensual vanilla that feels like warm night air by the sea. Easy to love if you enjoy gourmand perfumes with a soft smoky edge.
This perfume is really well blended, I just removed a star because I personnaly don't like the top note (citronella)
