Citrus with pepper
Bergamot and grapefruit open bright and slightly bitter, and pink peppercorn adds a dry, sparkling edge. This first stage is short and clean, with nothing sweet in it yet. It prepares the ground for the heart without giving any of it away.

Rose, raspberry, vanilla
Bulgarian rose and sambac jasmine lead the heart, and raspberry and vanilla soften them into something rounder and sweeter. Chestnut adds a nutty gentleness. The brand puts rose at the centre, and it stays the clear main voice throughout this stage.

Wood beneath the rose
Mysore sandalwood and cashmere wood form a smooth, creamy base, and rose absolute comes back inside it, so the flower stays present from heart to finish. The drydown is soft, woody and faintly sweet, with no sharp edges.

Adonis Awakens sits between fresh and sweet, so it fits several settings: a spring day, an autumn afternoon or an evening out. Two or three sprays on the chest or neck are enough, since the Eau de Parfum concentration carries well on its own.
Who it suits
Argos lists it as unisex. Choose it if you like rose but want it softened with fruit, vanilla and wood rather than kept pure and sharp. If you prefer dry, green or smoky scents, the sweet raspberry and vanilla heart will probably feel too soft.

Is it a rose perfume?
Rose is the centre, but not the whole: citrus and pink pepper come first, and raspberry, vanilla and Mysore sandalwood soften it. Expect a sweet, woody rose rather than a pure floral.

Very good quality profume, it last long and it has a good price for its incredible aroma and mixes of fruit and wood smell
A cozy, slightly sensual vanilla that feels like warm night air by the sea. Easy to love if you enjoy gourmand perfumes with a soft smoky edge.
This perfume is really well blended, I just removed a star because I personnaly don't like the top note (citronella)
