Fascent: a guide to the house and its perfumes
Fascent is a young French house whose eight perfumes are made to be worn alone or layered, in a refillable 30 ml bottle. This guide covers all eight, with the notes the brand gives and the picture it paints for each.
Fascent is a young French house. Its first perfumes came out in 2023, and by mid-2026 the collection counted eight, all of which are in our Fascent collection. The company has its seat in Roubaix, in the Lille area, and was started by two co-founders, Fanny Fortin Descamps and Edwina Réthoré. Where it stands among its compatriots is shown in our guide to new French niche perfume houses.
What the house stands for
The name fuses two words, facets and scent. All eight perfumes are deliberately unisex and are meant to be worn alone or layered, and every product page of the brand suggests which of the others to pair it with; our layering guide explains the technique. The founders page gives both careers: Fanny Fortin Descamps worked at Guerlain, Carven, CPL Aromas and Firmenich, Edwina Réthoré at Le Labo, LVMH and Diptyque. The brand says it combines natural materials with carefully selected synthetics, and that its perfumes are vegan and made without preservatives, dyes or UV filters.
What the perfumes have in common
Every Fascent comes in the same 30 ml bottle of recycled glass, which is refilled from 20 ml glass ampoules; only the colour of the cap tells the eight apart. We list all of them as Eau de Parfum, the term on most of the brand's boxes. A co-founder told the trade magazine Premium Beauty News that the perfumes stand at 15% and are due to move to 20%, and that the compositions are developed with the fragrance houses CPL Aromas or DSM-Firmenich. The brand's own pages credit no perfumer by name, so we name none. Seven of the eight have a pyramid and one has a plain list, and many entries are accords: a blend of materials that evokes one impression, such as whipped cream or clean linen. The term is explained in our perfume glossary.
The perfumes we list
Sorted by Fragrantica reviews in early October 2026, most reviewed first. The counts run from 11 to 33, so the differences are small.
Milky No Way
Fascent frames it as a party-night scent that enters the room before its wearer does: warm, creamy and woody, with a slightly feline edge. Black pepper and hazelnut milk are the top notes, a whipped cream accord and tonka bean the creamy heart, and sandalwood, amber and cashmere wood the soft, lingering base. The brand adds that it suits the day as well as the night. It is the most reviewed of the eight and one of several Fascents among our gourmand perfumes.

Corn Star
The newest of the eight, from May 2026, and built on the funfair: hot popcorn, flashing lights and the rush before the next ride. The brand calls it sweet and light. Love pear, coconut water and angelica extract are on top, popcorn, sesame SFE and a musky marshmallow in the heart, and tonka bean and cypriol oil in the base. Love pear is the brand's own name for the note, and we keep it.

Red Flag
A 2026 release around a dark, earthy iris that the brand calls mysterious and brooding. Cardamom, a beetroot accord and ginger give the opening a warm, fiery edge, iris and frankincense form the heart, and tonka bean, palo santo wood, vetiver and patchouli the woody base. Fascent presents it as the bold, full-bodied scent you did not expect to fall for. It belongs with our iris perfumes.

I Fig You
A fresh, green and energetic escape into nature, but with a dress code, as the brand puts it. Green tea, sage and citruses sit on top, fig leaf and carrot seeds in the heart, and vetiver and cedar wood add depth underneath. The brand pitches it as a botanical scent for staying focused and grounded. More in this direction is under fig perfumes.

Radical Softness
The idea is contrast: mild and strong at once, a clean, musky scent with a faint animal warmth that stays close to the skin. Pink pepper and white tea lead into cyclamen and frangipani flower, and the base is a skin-to-skin accord, Ambrox and white musk. The brand calls it intimate and carnal, and not sweet.

Sel à Vie
The seaside in summer: sun at its peak, salty hair, sunscreen and the nostalgia of holiday romances. Mandarin and sweet orange are followed by ylang ylang, jasmine and tiaré, and the base is sea salt, driftwood and a vanilla infusion. The brand's phrase is the mood of an endless summer, and it sits naturally among our summer perfumes.

L'Eau d'Or Dort
Gentle, calm and fresh, pictured as a swim in a still sea at sunrise or sunset while the light glints on the water. Bergamot, citron and lemon lead to orange blossom, petit grain and a clean linen accord. The brand lists aldehydes next to white musk under the base notes, and we follow its page. Everything about this perfume is described as subtle and clean.

Crème Brûlante
The one Fascent without a pyramid. The brand gives a list instead: vanilla duos, a cake batter accord, almond balm, a rum drop, amber wood, benzoin and olibanum. It describes the result as rich and indulgent without a sugar rush, an elegant vanilla with woody touches, likens the effect to a caramelised brioche and calls the scent warm, enveloping and a little temperamental.

Where to start
- Creamy and sweet: Milky No Way for hazelnut milk and sandalwood, Corn Star for popcorn, Crème Brûlante for vanilla and rum.
- Green and fresh: I Fig You, or L'Eau d'Or Dort for citrus and clean linen.
- Sun and salt: Sel à Vie.
- Close to the skin: Radical Softness.
- Dark and earthy: Red Flag.
The house designs its perfumes to be combined, so two bottles can be a starting point as well as one. To look beyond Fascent, Find your scent sorts all our perfumes by season, occasion, family and intensity.
Frequently asked questions
Can Fascent perfumes be layered?
Yes, that is part of the concept. All eight are meant to be worn alone or combined, and each product page of the brand suggests which of the other Fascents to pair with it.
How does the Fascent refill work?
The 30 ml bottle is made of recycled glass and is refilled from 20 ml glass ampoules. The boxes are made of FSC paper and printed with water-based inks.
Which Fascent perfume has no fragrance pyramid?
Crème Brûlante. The brand lists its notes without top, heart and base: vanilla duos, a cake batter accord, almond balm, a rum drop, amber wood, benzoin and olibanum.
