Jo Milano Paris: a guide to the house and its perfumes

Jo Milano Paris is the house behind Game of Spades, a line of parfums named after playing cards, poker terms and gemstones. This guide covers the nine Game of Spades perfumes we list, with the notes the brand publishes and a clear account of what its pages do not say.

Jo Milano Paris Game of Spades Wildcard Parfum 100 ml bottle

Jo Milano Paris tells little about itself. Its own webshop carries a New York address, while the name and one product page that says crafted in Paris point to France, and the site states no founder and no founding year. We leave it at that. What the brand does show in detail is Game of Spades, the line all our perfumes come from. You will find them in the Jo Milano Paris collection, and our piece on choosing a perfume unsmelled is a good companion for a house that describes itself this sparsely.

What the house stands for

Game of Spades is a playing-card themed line of parfums. Its perfumes are named after card and poker terms, such as Full-House, Wildcard, Royale, King, Bonus and No Limit, or after gemstones, such as Emerald and Black Sapphire, and every bottle carries a spade emblem. Each perfume has its own bottle colour: blue glass with a silver cap for Full-House, black with a gold cap for Wildcard, white for Royale, amber-coloured glass for No Limit. The boxes are patterned with card-suit symbols and marked Parfum. Beside this line the webshop sells the Levante, Zodiac, Goal, Amalfi, Notes, 786 and Roll It series.

What the perfumes have in common

All are listed as Parfum. We list nine perfumes in ten bottles: most are 100 ml, Black Sapphire is 90 ml, Royale 30 ml, and Full-House comes in 100 ml and 200 ml. The brand's pages give notes and main accords for each one but no perfumer or year, so neither appears here. Several pyramids share materials: Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian orange open both Full-House and Double Bonus, and ambroxan turns up in Full-House, Wildcard and Royale. One caution: where the running text of a page and its notes block disagree, as they do for Wildcard, we follow the notes block. Our guide to perfume concentrations explains what the word Parfum on the box stands for.

The perfumes we list

Sorted by the number of Fragrantica reviews in early October 2026. The counts are modest for most of the line, and Black Sapphire has none yet, so it comes last.

Game of Spades Wildcard

The brand calls it an unconventional blend that embraces the unexpected. Bergamot, flowers and coriander are the top notes, apple, ambroxan and vanilla the heart, and tonka bean, ambergris and woody notes the base. The bottle is black with a gold cap. With 170 reviews it is the most reviewed of the line on Fragrantica.

Game of Spades Full-House

Presented as a confident, polished fragrance for the wearer who plays their cards right. Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian orange and Sicilian citron open it bright, Tunisian neroli, Nigerian ginger and Ceylon cinnamon turn it spicy and floral, and Chinese black tea, guaiac wood, olibanum and ambroxan make a rich, smoky base. The bottle is blue glass with a silver cap, and we also list the 200 ml size.

Game of Spades Royale

Cozy indulgence with a touch of mystery, in the brand's words. Hazelnut and cacao open it, jasmine sambac and cedar form the heart, and caramel, ambroxan and moss close it. We list the 30 ml bottle, which is white.

Game of Spades Double Bonus

A bold, polished fragrance about confidence and success, meant for day or night. Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian orange and mandarin orange open it, Tunisian neroli meets Guatemalan cardamom, Indonesian nutmeg, pink pepper and pepper in the heart, and Java vetiver oil is the single base note.

Game of Spades No Limit

The brand's page gives this one no story, only notes and accords. Rosemary and Sicilian mandarin are on top, the heart holds coffee, coconut, iris, milk chocolate and amyris, and agarwood and tonka bean are the base.

Game of Spades Bonus

A balance of freshness, warmth and intrigue. A citrus and herb opening of orange, lemon, citron, mint, black currant and coriander leads to May rose, apricot, basil and carrot seeds, and then to a warm base of dates, ambrette and fig.

Game of Spades Emerald

A bold yet refined mix of freshness and sensuality. Bergamot, ginger and grapefruit open it, orange blossom, neroli and a ginger essence form a luminous floral heart, and musk and ambrette, which the brand says comes from hibiscus seeds, give a soft, skin-like base.

Game of Spades King

Described as warm and sophisticated. Orange, lemon and bergamot open it, the heart is listed simply as fruits, and amber, Madagascar vanilla and white musk form a sweet base.

Game of Spades Black Sapphire

A bold, modern parfum that works from day into evening, the brand says. Pear, bergamot, mandarin orange and ginger open it crisp and juicy, orange blossom is set against Georgywood in the heart, and musk, Ambrofix™, Akigalawood and cedar leave a warm woody trail. Its notes come from the brand's page alone; we found no second source for them.

Where to start

  • Bright citrus and spice: Full-House, Double Bonus and Emerald.
  • Sweet and nutty: Royale, and No Limit for coffee and milk chocolate.
  • Fruity and soft: King, Bonus and Wildcard.
  • Fresh and woody: Black Sapphire.
