Bee is Zoologist's picture of a hive in full spring bloom, workers crossing a flowering meadow to serve their queen. Perfumer Cristiano Canali turns that into a waxy, honeyed floral: orange and ginger syrup open it, mimosa and orange flower fill the heart, and a soft resinous base of benzoin, vanilla and tonka closes it. It is an Extrait de Parfum at 18%.

Orange and syrup
The first notes are orange and ginger syrup, so the opening is sweet and warm rather than sharp, closer to a spoonful of syrup than to a peel. A royal jelly accord sits in the same layer and gives the brand's waxy, honey-like idea its first outline.

A dense meadow of florals
The heart brings mimosa, heliotrope, orange flower and broom. Mimosa and heliotrope are soft, powdery and faintly almond-sweet, orange flower adds a clean white brightness, and broom keeps the meadow in the picture. The effect is a floral that is warm and thick, not airy.

Benzoin and labdanum are warm, balsamic resins, and with vanilla and tonka they build a sweet, soft-edged base. Sandalwood and musks add creaminess and smooth the finish. In an extrait with a base this resinous, the dry-down should stay close to the skin and last.

A cozy, slightly sensual vanilla that feels like warm night air by the sea. Easy to love if you enjoy gourmand perfumes with a soft smoky edge.
This perfume is really well blended, I just removed a star because I personnaly don't like the top note (citronella)
