Fragrance Du Bois: a guide to the house and its perfumes

Fragrance Du Bois is a Paris house whose tagline is Born in Nature, Crafted in France and whose signature is responsibly sourced oud. This guide covers the ten Fragrance Du Bois perfumes we list, with their notes and the perfumers the brand names.

Fragrance Du Bois Santal Complet Parfum 100 ml bottle

Fragrance Du Bois describes itself as a Paris house whose creations are composed in Paris and produced in Grasse, under the tagline Born in Nature, Crafted in France. Its signature, in its own words, is modern French perfumery built on exceptional naturals, above all responsibly sourced oud. The house says it was among the first to commercialise oud in perfumery, blending it with unexpected notes. The ten perfumes we list are in the Fragrance Du Bois collection, and our article on oud explains the material at the centre of it all.

What the house stands for

A 2017 press release says all of the house's oud is produced sustainably under an exclusive supply agreement with Asia Plantation Capital. Fragrance Du Bois works with a different master perfumer for each fragrance and even organises its website by perfumer. The presentation is consistent: faceted glass bottles with crystal-studded caps, in velvet-lined gift boxes. The brand's FAQ says its fragrances are unisex and cruelty-free and that it does not test on animals. Its own site states no founding year and names no founder, so this guide gives neither.

What the perfumes have in common

Nine of our ten are listed as Parfum; the tenth, Cavort, is listed as an Extrait de Parfum, although the brand's site states no concentration for it. Nine come in 100 ml and Sirène in 75 ml. Oud is not in everything: five of the ten have it in the pyramid, and four of those, the three Intense perfumes and Sahraa, list it as Pure Organic Vintage Oud in the base. The others are built on sandalwood, citrus, flowers, coffee or tropical fruit. What Parfum and Extrait mean is covered in our guide to concentration names.

The perfumes we list

The order follows Fragrantica review counts from early October 2026, with one exception: Minuit et Demi, the house's collaboration with Demi Rawling, closes the list.

Santal Complet

The brand's tribute to sandalwood, composed by François Merle-Baudoin: soft, creamy and relaxed, and suited to every season despite its summery feel, the brand says. Lemon and coconut give it a holiday opening, violet and black pepper warm the heart, and musk, sandalwood, amber and vanilla close it.

Sirène

The house calls this the first perfume it made with a woman in mind, and tells it as a story of empowerment and standing out. Nanako Ogi is the perfumer. Cherry and pink pepper open it, oud, incense and a lactonic note form the heart, and moss, benzoin, cistus, labdanum and cypriol are the base. The label is pink.

Lucius

Presented as the house's first fragrance aimed at men, pitched around strength and confidence. Bergamot, mandarin and pink pepper open it fresh and citrusy, cedarwood and orange flower follow, and tonka, vetiver and dry amber settle underneath.

Oud Jaune Intense

A fruity, flirty floral with a sunny, faraway-shores feel, in the brand's description, composed by Natalie Gracia-Cetto. Monoi, ylang ylang, pineapple and water fruits open it, jasmine, orange blossom and white flower fill the heart, and a lactonic, vanilla and musk base carries Pure Organic Vintage Oud.

Sahraa

The golden, Arabia-themed perfume of the house, which it calls a cult fragrance. François Merle-Baudoin opens it with grapefruit, builds a heart of rose absolute, geranium, jasmine and patchouli, and ends on black pepper, sandalwood, saffron, vanilla, amber and Pure Organic Vintage Oud, meant to evoke the majesty and mystery of the desert.

Oud Orange Intense

A sweet gourmand escape to tropical shores, by Caroline Sabas. Coconut and fruits open it, bourbon vanilla is the single heart note, and vanilla, musk and Pure Organic Vintage Oud form the base. The brand speaks of only a discreet trace of natural oud underneath.

Oud Bleu Intense

The brand's theme here is the sea, although no marine note is listed. Guillaume Flavigny builds it on contrast: cardamom, nutmeg and mandarin on top, then frankincense, ciste, myrrh essence and amber, and a base of opoponax resinoid, myrrh resinoid, styrax, benzoin and Pure Organic Vintage Oud. The house likens it to a cool breeze followed by a velvety blanket.

Cavort

A perfume about the charge of a first encounter, by Gaël Montero. Saffron, davana, geranium and cinnamon open it, rose absolute, orange flower, ylang-ylang and jasmine form the bouquet, and patchouli, labdanum, sandalwood and Indian incense carry the base. The brand singles out davana as a note that adapts to each wearer's skin.

Tropiques

Sold as a passport to an endless summer. Bergamot, mandarin and tropical fruits start it, the heart is lavandin with two named aroma ingredients, Mahonial® and Rosyfolia®, and caramel, amber and musk make a soft base.

Minuit et Demi

A collaboration between the house and Demi Rawling, framed as an intimate gourmand for half past midnight, with Stéphane Bengana as perfumer. Cardamom, pimento and bergamot open onto a heart of caramel and coffee, over vetiver, cedarwood, cashmeran, vanilla and musk. The base also holds Bourbon De Laire, a compound the brand says was made with Symrise.
