Philosykos is Diptyque's ode to the whole fig tree, not just the fruit. Fig leaves, fig tree sap and fig tree wood are joined by black pepper, which gives the green and milky tones a dry edge. It is an Eau de Toilette, so it stays light and airy on the skin. The bottle holds 100 ml.

One tree, three textures
The brand speaks of the green freshness of the leaves, the milky flavour of the figs and the density of the white wood. The notes follow that idea closely: leaves, sap and wood are three parts of the same tree, each with its own texture, rather than one fruity fig note repeated.

Mount Pelion
Diptyque places the perfume in a Greek summer at Mount Pelion, where a grove of wild, sun-soaked fig trees had to be crossed to reach the sea. The name comes from there: Philosykos means 'friend of the fig tree' in Greek. Think of warm leaves, shade and bark rather than a fruit bowl.

The pepper and the wood
Black pepper adds a dry, slightly sharp edge to the milky sap and the green leaves, and keeps the fig from turning sweet or creamy. The wood gives the composition a quiet frame, so the whole reads as a place you walk through, not something you eat.

Very good quality profume, it last long and it has a good price for its incredible aroma and mixes of fruit and wood smell
A cozy, slightly sensual vanilla that feels like warm night air by the sea. Easy to love if you enjoy gourmand perfumes with a soft smoky edge.
This perfume is really well blended, I just removed a star because I personnaly don't like the top note (citronella)
