Sarah Baker: a guide to the house and its perfumes

Sarah Baker Perfumes is an artist-run house in East London that makes every perfume with a different independent perfumer and presents each one as a character. This guide covers the ten Sarah Baker perfumes we list, with their notes and the perfumer behind each.

Sarah Baker Peach's Revenge Extrait de Parfum 50 ml bottle

Sarah Baker Perfumes began as the perfume project of an artist. Sarah Baker works in film, photography and installation and has a fine-art background. She owns the house together with Andy Hsu, also an artist, and the two run it as a family business from a studio in East London. Our ten are together in the Sarah Baker collection; for the wider picture there is our introduction to niche perfume.

What the house stands for

Every perfume is a collaboration with a different independent perfumer, whose name is printed on the bottle label and on the product page. The brand says it works with its noses instead of dictating to them. Each scent is also presented as a character in an ongoing fantasy world, with its own short screenplay and a hand-stamped box carrying an art-nouveau illustration. Production stays small: diluting, filling, bottling and boxing are done in house in London, in small batches and with organic grain alcohol.

What the perfumes have in common

All ten come in a 50 ml bottle. Nine are Extrait de Parfum and one, Pastel Rumours, is an Eau de Parfum; the difference is explained in our guide to concentrations. The brand publishes a full pyramid for each perfume, and some of its notes are images more than ingredients: wet rock, embers, custard creams, hot skin. We give them exactly as they are listed. The brand states no gender for its perfumes, and neither do we.

The perfumes we list

The order follows the number of ratings on Parfumo, read from archived pages dated between October 2025 and February 2026, most of them from November 2025. These are small numbers, so take the order as an indication and no more. Our research holds no Fragrantica counts for Sarah Baker.

Peach's Revenge

A juicy, spiced peach with what the brand calls a Renaissance power-play attitude, composed by Chris Maurice in 2024. Peach, guava and nectarine open it together with an amaretto note, orris, cardamom, ginger, cinnamon and bark form the heart, and amber, vanilla, caramel and musks make the base. With 149 ratings it is the most rated of our ten on Parfumo.

Jungle Jezebel

Miguel Matos made the tropical floral of the house, which the brand presents as deliberately provocative. Banana, peach, bubblegum and grape burst open, tuberose and ylang-ylang sit with rose and sandalwood in the heart, and civet, vetiver, vanilla, tonka bean and amber hold the base. Under the party there is more sophistication, the brand says.

Atlante

Sarah McCartney's salty, sparkling tidepool scent, told around the song of mermaids. Yuzu, pink pepper and seaweed are the top notes, orris, lily-of-the-valley and wet rock the heart, and it settles into ambergris, seashells, cedar and driftwood.

Gold Spot

The celebrity-themed oud of the house, by Chris Maurice and dated 2022. Orange blossom, bergamot, neroli, cypriol and petitgrain lift a heart of dark chocolate, Laos oud and butterscotch, which rests on Suyufi agarwood, musk, amber, vanilla and sweet myrrh.

Charade

The brand describes Charade as its most classical composition: a sophisticated white floral with a modern edge, made by Andreas Wilhelm. Tuberose and ylang-ylang open it, benzoin, leather, styrax and tea form the heart, and honey, amber, vetiver, moss and sandalwood close it.

Pastel Rumours

The one Eau de Parfum of the ten, and the dreamy, milky peach of the house, again by Chris Maurice. Peach, fruit loops and ginger are on top, milk, cardamom and caramel in the heart, and custard creams, vanilla and musks in the base. The sweetness is childlike on purpose, the brand says, with a more defiant side underneath.

Rococo Pie

A warm gourmand by Chris Maurice that the brand sums up as spiced peaches and cream. Peach pie, tangerine zest and coconut open it, walnut and jasmine meet creamy notes in the heart, and amber, sandalwood and musk form the base.

Tartan Cask

A smoky Highland scent by Sarah McCartney from 2024, which the brand calls warming and autumnal. Peaty whisky, bread, hops and heather open it, cedar, tobacco and leather make the heart, and smoke, moss, Buddha wood and labdanum the base.

Flame & Fortune

Sarah Baker herself is credited as the perfumer of this one. The picture is a desert highway: white flowers set alight, or purity stained with smoke and desire, in the brand's words. Orange blossom, pink pepper and apricot are the top notes, ginger, lily-of-the-valley, tuberose and a motor oil note the heart, and labdanum, mezcal and embers the base.

Va Va Vanilla

The newest of the ten, introduced by the brand in February 2026 and composed by Margaux Le Paih-Guérin, with no Parfumo count yet. The brand's line for it is that danger buys you a drink. Espresso Martini, cinnamon and black cherry open it, saffron, coffee, crushed nuts, rum and a Manhattan cocktail note sit in the heart, and what the brand lists as forbidden vanilla lies over guaiac wood, leather, hot skin, sandalwood and silky woods.
