Sospiro: a guide to the house and its perfumes
Sospiro is a house founded in Italy in 2011 that writes each perfume like a musical score and names many of them after musical terms. This guide covers the ten Sospiro perfumes we list, all Eau de Parfum in 100 ml, with the notes the house publishes.
Sospiro was founded in Italy in 2011. The name is the Italian word for a sigh, from the Latin suspirium, an upward breath. In 2022 the house opened what it calls a new chapter from Dubai, and it now writes for both Europe and the Gulf. Its own site names no founder, so neither do we. All ten perfumes we list are in the Sospiro collection; if you are still finding your way in this field, begin with our plain-language guide to niche perfume.
What the house stands for
Music. Sospiro says each perfume is built like a score, with top, heart and base as opening, development and resolution, and many names are musical terms: Vibrato, Basso, Mezzo, Bel Canto. Oud, the house says, is one instrument in the arrangement and never the headline. The flacon has a velvet finish that the brand compares to a butterfly's wing, with an engraved rose-gold cap, and the butterfly is the house emblem and stands for love. The brand's Perfumers page credits Christian Provenzano, a perfumer with more than fifty years at the bench, for Vibrato and Erba Leather among others, and Salah Alzarooni in Dubai for the creations of the current chapter.
What the perfumes have in common
All ten are Eau de Parfum in 100 ml. Eight belong to The Classica Collection and two, Erba Pura Magica and Erba Leather, to The Erba Collection. Each has a three-level pyramid, though the house sometimes lists an impression where you would expect a material: Bel Canto has Powdery and Earthy among its notes, and we keep those as given. The house states a year for only two of the ten, Vibranna (2025) and Mezzo (2026), its newest compositions. How the three levels work together is the subject of our pyramid guide.
The perfumes we list
Most rated on Parfumo first, going by a snapshot from the end of July 2026; Fragrantica counts were not captured for Sospiro.
Vibrato
A luminous balance between freshness and depth, and a powdery-citrus composition by Christian Provenzano. Grapefruit, bergamot, mandarin, ginger and rosemary open it, magnolia, Damascenia rose and blond wood form the heart, and vetiver, patchouli, Indian sandalwood, musk, crystal amber and tonka are the base. Around 2,200 ratings make it the most rated of the ten, and the brand credits its viral success for the house's global reach.

Il Padrino
A quiet force built on confidence and restraint, warm and enveloping, with calm authority. Dark rum, amaretto, blackcurrant and bergamot open it, patchouli blossom, dry amber and sandalwood make the heart, and labdanum, vanilla wood and Siam benzoin close it.

Basso
Born in the hush before a performance, the brand says: deep, resonant and commanding. Grapefruit stands alone at the top. Mayflower, carnation and labdanum form the heart, and the base is a long list that puts black and pink pepper, galbanum and nutmeg next to sandalwood, vetiver, celery seeds, guaiac wood, oakmoss and cedar.

Erba Pura Magica
A radiant, playful aria that lifts the spirit, bright and smooth. Jasmine, bergamot, lemon and fruity notes lead into a heart of balsamic notes and orris, and amber, musk, caramel and cedarwood form the base.

Dolce Melodia
A sweet melody meant to linger like a favourite refrain, soft and warm. Mandarin, orange and saffron start it, rose, jasmine, gardenia, pear and blackcurrant fill the heart, and sandalwood, vanilla and white musk end it.

Accento Viola
The house calls it a radiant spell that flows between joy and depth and leaves a luminous trail. Pineapple and hyacinth open it, jasmine, iris and pink pepper are the heart, and musk, amber, vetiver, patchouli and vanilla finish it.

Erba Leather
Smooth, smoky and reassuring, and in the words of the Perfumers page the leather-deepened work of Christian Provenzano. Bergamot, lemon and passion fruit open it, jasmine, sandalwood and leathery notes sit in the heart, and amber and vetiver are the base.
Mezzo
One of the newest compositions, dated 2026 by the house: fresh, composed and quietly magnetic. Bergamot, mandarin, juniper and lavender open it, apple, vetiver, ginger and magnolia follow, and tonka, moss, musk and patchouli give a smooth base.
Vibranna
Dated 2025. The brand describes a creation born from quiet strength and wrapped in softness, soothing and luminous, with an intimate presence. Bergamot and orris open it, nutmeg, moss and lily of the valley come next, and amber, musk and patchouli are the base.
Bel Canto
Named after an eighteenth-century Italian singing style, and the example the house uses to show how a perfume is written: a modern powdery composition that opens bright and resolves soft, like a held note. Jasmine and citrus are on top, powdery, violet and green notes in the heart, and the base lists amber, woody notes, musk, sandalwood, vetiver, vanilla, earthy and patchouli.
