Game of Spades Perfume: The Line by Jo Milano Paris

Game of Spades is the playing-card line of Jo Milano Paris, in which every bottle carries a spade. This guide sorts the nine Game of Spades perfumes we list by their names, card terms and gemstones, and shows which notes the line keeps returning to.

Jo Milano Paris Game of Spades Full-House Parfum 100 ml bottle

Game of Spades is the line most people mean when they look for Jo Milano Paris: a playing-card themed series of parfums in which every bottle carries a spade. We list nine of its perfumes in ten bottles, all in the Jo Milano Paris collection. The house guide takes them in order of reviews; this page sorts the same line by its names, card terms on one side and gemstones on the other, and shows which notes the nine have in common.

How the line is built

Every Game of Spades perfume has a name from the card table or the jeweller's tray, a bottle colour of its own and a box patterned with card-suit symbols and marked PARFUM. All are listed as Parfum, the top of the concentration scale, which perfume concentrations explained sets out. The brand sells the line in 10 ml miniatures and in 30, 50 and 90 or 100 ml, in gift sets and in a coffret of nine, and two perfumes also come in 200 ml. Each product page gives a pyramid and a list of main accords, but no perfumer and no year. Where the running text of a page and its notes block disagree, we follow the notes block. Game of Spades is one of several series in the brand's webshop, next to Levante, Zodiac, Goal, Amalfi, Notes, 786 and Roll It, and it is the only one we list.

The card and poker names

Seven of our nine take their name from the game. They follow in order of Fragrantica reviews, counted in early October 2026.

Wildcard comes in a black bottle with a gold cap and is, says the brand, an unconventional blend that embraces the unexpected. Bergamot, flowers and coriander are on top, apple, ambroxan and vanilla in the heart, and tonka bean, ambergris and woody notes in the base.

Full-House, blue glass with a silver cap, is the bright one: Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian orange and Sicilian citron, then Tunisian neroli, Nigerian ginger and Ceylon cinnamon, over Chinese black tea, guaiac wood, olibanum and ambroxan. It is also listed in a 200 ml bottle, and it sits with our bergamot perfumes.

Royale, in a white bottle, is presented as cozy indulgence with a touch of mystery: hazelnut and cacao on top, jasmine sambac and cedar in the heart, and caramel, ambroxan and moss in the base. We list the 30 ml, and it belongs with our gourmand perfumes.

Double Bonus is framed as a perfume about confidence and success. Its pyramid narrows as it goes: Calabrian bergamot, Sicilian orange and mandarin orange, then Tunisian neroli, Guatemalan cardamom, Indonesian nutmeg, pink pepper and pepper, and a single base note, Java vetiver oil.

No Limit, in amber-coloured glass, has no story on its page, only notes: rosemary and Sicilian mandarin, a heart of coffee, coconut, iris, milk chocolate and amyris, and agarwood and tonka bean in the base. It is one of our coffee perfumes.

Bonus has the longest opening of the line: orange, lemon, citron, mint, black currant and coriander, followed by May rose, apricot, basil and carrot seeds, on a base of dates, ambrette and fig.

King is described as warm and sophisticated: orange, lemon and bergamot, a heart the brand gives only as fruits, and amber, Madagascar vanilla and white musk.

The gemstones

Emerald is called a bold yet refined mix of freshness and sensuality: bergamot, ginger and grapefruit on top, orange blossom, neroli and a ginger essence in the heart, and musk with ambrette in the base. The brand also sells an Emerald Extrait de Parfum; the one we list is the Parfum in 100 ml. More in this register is under neroli perfumes.

Black Sapphire, which we list in 90 ml, is described as a parfum that works from day into evening: pear, bergamot, mandarin orange and ginger, then orange blossom and Georgywood, over musk, Ambrofix, Akigalawood and cedar. It has no Fragrantica reviews in our research yet.

What the nine share

Bergamot, above all: six of the nine open with it. Three notes return three times each: ginger in Full-House, Emerald and Black Sapphire, neroli in Full-House, Double Bonus and Emerald, and ambroxan in Wildcard, Full-House and Royale. Ambroxan is a synthetic molecule with a dry, woody glow, as the perfume glossary explains. Tonka bean closes both Wildcard and No Limit, and ambrette both Bonus and Emerald. Read that way the line has a bright half, led by citrus, and a sweet half built on vanilla, caramel, cacao or chocolate.

Choosing a card

  • Citrus first: Full-House, Double Bonus, Bonus and Emerald; more of the kind is in citrus perfumes in niche.
  • Sweet and warm: Royale, No Limit, Wildcard and King.
  • Pear and woods: Black Sapphire.
